It all begins with an idea…

We’re here to support and help you develop your style and confidence in songwriting. Sometimes all you need is one lyric, a short chord sequence or even a single note to begin the process. We’re here to support you and help you develop your songwriting. It is essential that our sessions are guided by you after all… it’s your music.

Developing your style…

Whether you’re interested in writing a particular style of music, improving your composition skills for a school project or actually aspiring to become an artist with a career in music, our songwriting sessions are tailored to suit your musical needs and aspirations. We’re not here to actually write songs for you… but we are here to offer an experienced musical ear and encouraging you to express yourself through writing your own music.

Q: Is it true that most pop songs are made from the same four chords?

A:
not necessarily!

We think sometimes that having a little music theory knowledge can be really beneficial when it comes to creating and developing your own songs. By listening to and analysing existing songs you enjoy, you can learn a lot about song structures, commonly used chord progressions, instrumentation and production.
