Top tips to help you get the most out of your online music lessons…

1

We recommend our students download the free
Zoom Client App on your device for a smoother experience.

See web link:

2

Ensure you’re using the correct meeting link and password.

We usually send you these invitations by email or text.

It’s always worth double checking that you’re definitely using the most recent Meeting Invitation link and Password for your next lesson.

3

Try to position the device / webcam in a way that both you and your instrument are visible to your tutor.

If you’re using a mobile for your lessons we recommend a landscape camera view.

4

We would recommend tweaking your audio settings and enabling In-Meeting ‘Original Sound’.

When using the default settings on Zoom it cleverly helps to reduce background noise. However, for instrumental lessons enabling the ‘Original sound’ option will enable both your voice and playing to be clearly audible.

This option is usually available on Tablets and Desktop. You can easily do this yourself by selecting Video Settings, Audio Settings & scrolling down until you see the option to tick enable in-meeting original sound under the sub-heading Music and Professional Audio.

5

Download our Beatbox App and Sign-up to our Online Student Portal, it’s FREE!

Our Online Portal will give you access to lesson material relevant to your lessons plus lots of other resources such as guitar tabs, songsheets and some video content too.

Your tutor can help you sign-up for our Online Student Portal and then you’ll be able to log-in via our Beatbox app.
